I am in biomedical research because I want to contribute to knowledge that can help people. I have been at NIH in various positions since 2013, and until now, I have never been concerned that my research could be stopped for containing some of the specific words the administration believes aren’t worthy of study.
My loved ones have lost jobs in other sectors of public service, and they are still dealing with the uncertainty about the future of their careers and the trauma of being forced out of the jobs they love.
